Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (do not use margarine)
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups sifted flour
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Cinnamon Sugar*

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400. Mix together thoroughly butter, sugar, and eggs. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Stir into first mixture. Chill dough until balls can be easily formed. * Roll each ball in cinnamon sugar until completely covered (3 tsp cinnamon and 3 tbsp sugar)

2. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees.

Notes

I bake 8.5 - 9 minutes in my oven. Make sure to place dough on a cool cookie sheet (not one out of the oven). Can alter the cinnamon/sugar ratio to your preference. THESE ARE THE BEST SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES!
